Critter ID help please

bugs.jpg

Hi all, this post is from Rainbowberry, as she's too busy getting ice cream and asked me to post this for her.

"Just say that we’ve had white fly and this stuff. I’ve spent an hour tending to these leaves. So no wanky posts suggesting that I have just cleaned soil off the leaves. "

She's trying to ID what this dark stuff is. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, haven't seen those.  Suspect either egg cases of something or critters with a bad intention, either way.  I would recommend soaping them with something like dawn, then rinsing the soap off.  Lil' plastic knife from a fast food joint will help give them a fling.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think you're right about egg cases, as they're actually flat. Also there were white little rings on some of them that we assumed was something to do with whiteflies. We can't seem to grow them from seed here, as the instant a leaf shows up so do the pesties. We've even pre-treated these plants and still got the pesties. In the UK, I could grow any shit but not in Florida, everything wants to kill my shit.

Dang Sickie, long time my friend...tell your sweet other half I said hello.

Is there any chance you can get a closer pic of the "things: on the leaves

?
