My hab took about a month to even show tail or root to pop out of seed casing.

However, my banana pepper plant took only 7 days. You might find that the Jalep starts shooting from the soil faster.

Ok so i think i am slowly getting there...i am paranoid about over or under watering so i am just trying to do as suggested and keeping everything moist

i also did a few about a week before i started this thread.  i was told at that time from a website that once they had a couple leaves to put them out side...so i did and after 3 days out side they looked like they were dying so i brought them back in....could this be the reason for such a long stem? or is this normal?

once again thanks for any comments

My honest opinion is keep them covered in a dome or a baggy under light until the first true leaves come out from the middle. Those seedling leaves are what is showing right now.

Thanks...i will do that

for watering i mist mine with a spray bottle 2-3 sprays a day and keep them in the sun. if they are covered in a bag or half cut bottle a mist is only needed once a week. Just keep the soil moist all the way down not wet.

Definitely need more light.  Looking "leggy" for sure.

Introduce them to the sunlight slowly ( look up "hardening off").  If you give them too much sunlight, they'll die very fast !!

Once you get them outside, the water in the soil will evaporate quickly,  even in Venezuela  :P  . Keep an eye on them for sure !

Good Luck !

i think i was over watering to start, s now i have been just making sure that the soil is moist.   i use a water bottle with a pin hole instead of a mister (until i find a mister)
i haven't  watered in about 4 days

thanks Jeff i will look it up
as far as sunlight i am growing in a small 2 story apt we have... lost the windows int he upper floor due to a hurricane last summer(first one i ever heard of down here)  i started the seeds on the main floor where there is lots of light but no direct sunlight...today i moved everything to the top story where they will get he morning sun only.  so with luck that will do something.

thanks for the advise

will keep posting    by the way i have over 125 started
