Does Wind chill affect plants?

It all comes down to how heat is transfered. A body of water changes temp very slowly compared to air. So when the wind blows across a lake it only cools a small portion of the surface, which the movement quickly stirs that cooler into the warmer water below distributing the heat loss into a much larger volume. Plants do have a very high percentage of water like humans but mostly only lose water through their leaves, compared to humans that lose moisture from all the pores in our skin. I doubt that plants are affected by wind chill to the same extent as humans, but there is definitely some effect.
