contest Growdown Throwdown 2018 Yellow Brain Strain!

Seven and a half weeks in and the growth stall is over. The plant is just beginning to fork and the root tips are definitely looking for more territory to conquer...

Yeah, I water from the top Chris. I just have the Airpots in 1020 trays to catch the water that runs out. No fuss, no muss. [emoji6]

Finally starting to see some sun here in Denmark - but it'll still be a few weeks before plantout, but on good days, the plant spends its time outside.

Below is a picture of the problem i mentioned, with the plant having a very thin main stem at the bottom compared to the rest of the plant.

The plant measures up to about 13'' so far :)

The weather here is seriously screwing with my plans. I generally begin hardening off around the last week of March, and am in the dirt by 4-7 or so. This year started out no different, 50+ plants potted up and in a well shaded place in the yard that is protected from the sun and wind. A few days later, night time temps started dipping into the 30s, which the plants didnt care for at all. Sooooo, back inside they went, 50-7 gallon grow bags ( the wife really loves this part) in my spare room, under nothing but a 20 watt bulb. Next day it sleeted all day, which is unheard of for April in Arkansas....So needless to say, my plants are PISSED at me right now. Most of them, including my two YBS', have dropped a bunch of their flowers and leaves, and are having a hard time recovering due to insufficient lighting. One more cold snap expected this weekend and then hopefully it will be gone!

Similar experience here. I have about 70 plants I intended to put in the ground by the beginning of this month but it's still been too cold. Lots of days in the 70s upcoming but then a few days drop down to the 30s.it just never ends. So I'm going to have to put them in bigger containers and hope they just grow.. Slow.. For now.
