Whats up with Capsicum Flexuosum? I keep seeing thats its called a bridge species between wild pepper species and more domestic species, but I cant find if the more domestic means partially domestic or just domestic. Not to mention I cant find anything on what species its a bridge species of. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance.

A bridge between SE Brazilian species with 26 chromosomes to the 24 chromosome species, specifically baccatum var. baccatum.  Part of that theory is based on their black seeds.  Here is the most up to date content on the expansion of Capsicum.

Do you know what 26 chromosome species would work best?

I found them to be one of the most challenging wild peppers to set pods and viable seeds....

I do not. I've only attempted 26 to 26,never to 24.
