RYMERPT Will 2018 be better?

Hello pepper people. Thoughts have been rattlin around in my noggun for about a month now about what I'm gonna do for 2018. This weekend being the last of 2017 I thought I should get off my Duff and get going. I've set aside a few bucks to get some better lighting this week end. I plan on setting up a hanging florescent rig with a couple daylight bulbs to welcome new seedlings. I've been thinking along these lines for a while and am ready for the change. In the past I have used just a couple regular type lamps with sunlight bulbs. The florescents size will give me more coverage. I do have a heat Matt and have a good system that has proven successfully for my seeding bed. I tend to use small Solo cups that sit in a aluminum turkey pan (allows it to be flooded). I cover this with the provided clear lid. AWESOME HUMIDITY ZONE. As for what seeds I'll use this year I'm still undesided. I'll post lots of pics and have much more details later. Still unsure if I'll pop for the price of a tiller or just go buckets this year. HMMMMM

Today a Thai came up. I made a command decision to scrap every cup that had not came up yet. I reseeded a handful to make for round number two. I have reseeded Thai dragon, scotch bonnet, tepin X lemondrop isolated, peach bhut, yellow naga, prik keep nu and a couple others I forget right now. I am down to one tray on the heat mat instead of two. I also just reseeded with seeds I really wanted instead of going hog wild. Fingers crossed round two will prove to be better.

FRUSTRATED!!!!!

Time goes by and my seedling population does not increase. I am getting no new hooks from the second round of seeds. I have the following seedlings:

2) farmers jalapeno

3) aji pineapple

Thai

Bishops crown

Tepin X lemondrop

I will continue to wait for more to emerge, but not for to much longer.

How warm and humid are the conditions for your seeds? I find that it needs to be 75F minimum for seedlings to really flourish.

Huge change of plans! I threw out all but the one Farmers Jalapeno. All the others were making zero progress. My season is just gonna have to be reliant on plants from the nursery. In years past I have grown seven foot ghost pepper plants from nursery plants, so maybe it'll be OK.

Sometime it just isn't happening Ryme. Maybe that Farmers Jalapeno will kick it to the sky. You gave it a good try. And nurseries are there for a reason.

How old were the seeds that didn't sprout?
I threw away about a third because of no sprouts these days. But luckily I still have a few, for now, healthy seedlings.
