Fake Pepper X seeds missing

You know what's rad?

It's rad that we can easily buy real chiles--ranging from zero heat to unbearably hot-- that are both nonfictional and readily accessible, for dirt cheap, and grow them, often with full knowledge of what they are and where they came from.

We can also choose to keep chasing these nebulous supersham peppers being offered by a known liar and probable conman. I guess this is one of those situations where we shrug and mutter "to each, his own."

On the videos: I know some folk have issues with the FBI guy, but I don't wish illness on anyone.  I am glad he seems to be getting back to his old self.  He was looking horribly ill there for some time.

Bicycle808, I feel about the same as you.  I need known stable seed stock for produce production or I can not plan.  But small scale goofing around with new and unstable stock can be fun.  Still, there is wisdom in not feeding (funding) the dragon (conmen) of the industry .

Gotta mix it up every now and then.  Plus.. how do you know what you like if you don't try it eh?

Scary peppers and damn fine photography.  Seriously, your photos always look like the ones in my wife's occasional cooking magazine.  Very professionally done.  Makes me hungry.

I wish i could take photos like that.   :mope:
While i feel my photos have improved since joining THP and documenting my grows.
My photos are certainly not on this level yet :)
That is not my photo, i am only growing this cross for the first time this year.
I believe photo credit goes to Enrico Lai, though maybe he had another photographer take those. I didn't ask.
This was one of the photos that made me want to grow this new cross though.
Also, Yaki Blue was one of the most beautiful near superhots i grew last year.

Funny because I have a friend who is a wedding photographer.  Her photos are great.  You can wander threw my catalog, look at the photos, and tell the difference between the ones I took and the ones she took.  It is so embarrassing that when I offered to put photo credits up, she said not if any of my images remain.  So think I am like you, improved but not there yet.  Doesnt help that I got diabetic eyes.

My question is did Duffy really go through the effort of sharing these seeds all around the globe for a prank, or were they actually “pepper x”

I know he’s now saying it was a prank. Is he saying it was a prank just to avoid receiving stolen goods charges?

I guess no one knows. I’m really curious what will happen next season when people grow these out.

So.. "just a prank" that he coupled with his "surprise" that people would fall for such hype that he just -happened- to decide to exploit for his own profit by slapping the "Pepper X" label on some hybrid that he rushed to market with a nice, expensive price tag... And in that screenshot above he goes on wanting to open people's eyes to such scams.. Guess he felt the best to do it was to use all of this as a cheap-ass low marketing trick of his own... He's right - he's the furthest from a saint lol

I had that post saved on my old phone and forgot to save the picture when i got a new one.  The half breed C-3PO came out of my garden and he sold it on his site.  Funny this is him and Mike have no clue what that chocolate jigsaw plant crossed with in my garden but i do.  Fucking idiot selling unstable seeds of which he has no clue of what they are.

Chiles can be confusing enough without these pranks, games, and conjobs. Part of me feels like "lighten up; these are just peppers!"... But, then I think about all the blood sweat and tears that average hobbyist growers put into just trying to get a harvest. I can only imagine how much effort goes into developing and stabilizing a new Strain. Add all the anxiety a lot of Rookie growers have just as far as IDing their chiles goes, and I don't think it's fair to dismiss this as " just peppers."

This stuff is very important to a lot of ppl, and yet some of the biggest names in the business are liars and clowns. I don't get it.

Someone here posted something about the FBI guy threatening people.  I thought what the hell?  Then I started to think about why my wife won't see an Angelina Joli movie with me.  Per wife, she is a Husband Stealing Hussy.  Hobby Lobby is anti-reproductive rights.  Some chicken place is anti-gay but kind of redeemed itself by donating tons of food to the first responders and families after the gay club shooting in florida. Then there are the things that fall our of our presidents mouth when he opens it.

It is not just the pepper business.  You sound like you got the same problem I have.  You are boring.  There are clowns to the left of you, jokers to the right, and there you are... stuck in the middle again.

Supporting traditional marriage does not need redeeming, and not sure what any of that bs that you mentioned has to do with Pepper X?
