Hot popcorn using Yellow Chiltepin flakes

I used to have a bar and learned a little trick from a bar in Louisiana and used it in my bar. Free snacks and all right. I would put the popcorn in the pot with the oil and pop as normal, however watching the corn, it starts to change color a little right before it pops. At this stage, I would take Tabasco and douse the hell out of the oil. Warning though the fumes are BRUTAL, but more sauce, the hotter the corn. Looked normal, couldn't tell i had done anything to it. Put bowls on bar for free. Bout the second handful, ordering another beer was GUARANTEED .  :fire:

Nice tip! Thanks!

had some panic mode on a breakfast skillet a minute ago. Almost killed me. Put too much on and got instant cap hiccups. Almost choked on a mouthful of food

Good stuff

I like using powder on a bag of ruffles. Sprinkle some in and shake it up

The funny thing is people seek out spicy chips and all you need is powder. I think this misconception is people think it won't stick. Just make sure it is a fine powder, and it sticks. Shake in, and shake up. Done.

So for example next time you buy some kettle potato chips, don't buy the spicy flavor, buy the BBQ flavor, and spice them up with powder... sooooo goood. BBQ rub WILL NOT stick lol! You get the idea. Just buy your fave flavor, spice up later.

Salt & Vinegar........ fatalii.... boom!

I'm not sure if it's common across the board but a lot of Hispanics around here buy bags of chips, dump some hot sauce in, give it a shake and eat it with a spoon or fork. Personally, I've never done it but I also don't really snack on chips often.
