First pepper attempt - Datil Peppers

I'm looking to carry on my uncles Menorcan tradition of Datil pepper BBQ sauce so I'm growing some Datils. I thought I'd post some pictures and see what you all thought. I'm saving eggshells to give them a little calcium. These pictures are from right before I topped them...some of them already were budding so I lopped them off. I'm growing these under a CFL 5500K grow light. I'm using the 'double-cup' deal and bottom feeding them...but I think the soil is staying a little too damp. I think I need to get a fan on them. I'm using some 'General Hydroponics - Floragro' hydroponic nutrients.

Any suggestions? do they look like they need anything?

Nice healthy looking seedlings, I would cull or separate the plants that have more than one growing in a cup. Looks great.

Those look great. There's no finer pepper than a datil.

Yep one plant per cup. They are probably small enough that you can shake them apart. But above that, great work! They look really happy!

Thanks for the link, interesting. I found this recipe which includes figs.

If anyone has any extra Datil seeds and wants to trade for fig cuttings, please PM me.
