Devv-2018-Loving life in the dirt

Here we go again! ;)

This year will be a mix of in the dirt and container growing. Mostly in the dirt. I have some OW's going, 5 are cut back, 6 are pubes that still spend time outdoors as the weather allows. I have pH issues in the dirt, working on that, and hoping for some better results this season. One thing the wife and I decided is to NOT grow into the fall again. I was pulling plants the same weekend I started my seeds. I'm using 4 2 bulb T8's with 6,500K bulbs, and 1 4 bulb T5 with I believe 6,500K bulbs.

G-kids are great spoil em, and send em home..LOL. Charly was all over the place after chowing down on all that candy.

Next week all 5 G-Kids will be over, along with another 6 year old, 5 kids are spending the night. I think I'll buy me a big old bottle of rum and sit back..LOL

Whew! That'll be quite the patience-trying. Lol. Maybe a bottle of Rum and a happy sack. :high: lol

The wild flowers here are going nuts, I haven't mowed the driveway field because so many are up and blooming. That's an Aji Cito, my concern is the yellow on the leaves. It's just hanging out and not really doing anything, all the rest look good..
Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I shoulda read that thoroughly. I thought you were asking for a plant ID. That's what happens when I half-assed pay attention.

Hahaha!!! I'm sure my term of endearment for mine will be somewhat similar. We didn't call our children their names, either. We have 3. If one did something:
"Guess what your child did..."
"Which one?"
"The middle one"
OR
"My daughter got student of the month!"
"Which one?"
"The big one."..."the midget" (not politically correct. Lol.)

I guess pets are the same way. You name them something and never call them that. Lol

Hey, thank you, Scott! With all of them over, I'll bet it's like being 20-something again...like it was with your own kids. Is it? Do they make you feel younger...or older? I guess that's important. Lol

Thanks again!

Killer looking plants, Scott! Are those Mater bushes? Holy cow! I see salsa in your future! Yes! Chinense's! Been a long time comin'...!

Well I got a "problem with reputation vote" what the hell is that. I've seen them before and during that session no bueno, but OK on the next visit..

I'll be topping the hedges soon :shh: And yes! We will have some Chinense this season!. I guess sowing in late November paid off..I actually cut back on them this year because of lack of production. Maybe one day I'll have this all sorted out..LOL

I can see where at times he gets that from. But they're just kids, and kids can be loud. I know we were, I was hell on wheels when I was a kid.

We had 2, they were the boy child and the girl child, they were usually hers ;)  I always knew what they were up to, the wife would say "you don't know that for sure". I would say "think back". I was usually right.

Hmmm...good question. When all of them are over I feel older, because the wife and I are cooking for the whole tribe. Only my daughter and her family (3) came over for Easter. Next weekend I have to BBQ for 16 of us. So older yeah, but I'm 60 now, it's a bit different than first G-Kid at 43 ;)

OK back to peppers:

It won't be long. Mid to late May? I asked the wife and she just sighed....oh no..

We should get around 100 quarts and will give quite a bit to the local food bank, we actually grew more this year so we could donate...

Things are looking about as great as expected here.

I'm trying to think of a "birds and the bees" joke for that watering station, but can't quite find it. It does look a lot like a bird bath, though.
