I've only had mine for less than a month but it's already starting to bulk up and get fuller. I put it in fox farms ocean forest soil and it seems to really like it. I'm happy to see some blooms. Hopefully I can get a lot of them to set fruit. I'm sure its gonna drop a lot of flowers though. I might try to hand pollinate some to see if I can increase yields. Pretty excited to try this fruit and use it in cooking.snagglepuss said:

I have a finger lime here growing in a large pot. It looked like a Christmas tree this year covered with red limes.
I had it growing in full sun but read it grows on forest edges. So I moved it into half shade. Its done very well ever since.
Mines about 1.5 m now, say 5 feet. I dont give it any special treatment except topping up the potting soil occasionally.

Nice! Mine does excellent in the heat. They say it's drought tolerant so I let it dry totally out between watering and it started loosing a bunch of leaves and blooms so I starting watering it like crazy and it's doing amazing now. Only a few fruits on it but they're really tiny still. Apparantly they take a long time to mature. Or I'm doing something wrong. I have one of these plants. Does anyone know how to tell if the fruit is ripe? FWIW my plant survived -5c(23f) and a high of just -1c(30f) plus several barely sub zero temps and highs of 1-3c(34-37f) highs, it had overhead plastic cover.
I bought it last year and this year it produced 5 flowers which led to a lone fruit. When it was in full sun it stubbornly refused to grow, not it gets filtered light under a pear tree and it really took off nicely.
