Pepper cheese?

Any good online sources for other than average pepper jack cheese? I've had ghost pepper jack and it was all heat and no flavor, would like something with medium heat and a good flavor for sandwiches.

Theres All kinds of spicy cheeses. Maybe try one thats smoked. Might help balance the heat and flavor

Nasonville dairy in Wisconsin makes fantastic cheese. I always stop there for their fresh cheese curds when I go home. Recently I picked up some of thier Carolina reaper cheddar and I was really impressed.
They have a ton of different kinds of pepper cheese along with other flavored cheeses like dill havarti, caraway jack etc... But their cheeses aren't just kitchy novelty products. They know what they're doing and have been doing Wisconsin proud for a long, long time. Their six year old cheddar is some of the best I've had. I can't even imagine what their older stuff is like. (I think their oldest is 20 years old!)

edit: There must be about three or four reaper pods in each pound block of reaper cheddar!  :flamethrower:  It's pretty dang hot and the sweet reaper flavor really shines through.

Here's a pic of Nasonville's German brick (not spicy) and their Carolina reaper cheddar (dang spicy, as mentioned).

Thanks for the link, I may have to order some.

A friend of mine just found some chipolte cheddar at Walmart. I didn't even see it the last time I was there.

Buying Walmart chipotle cheddar is like buying salsa made in New York City.  ;)  If you want good cheese, look to Wisconsin.

If you aren't eating it straight up, you can always just shred your favourite cheese and then toss it with whatever amount of pepper powder you want. Makes for killer grilled cheese as well.

I wish it was obvious to me, but I only started doing that last year. Probably after seeing someone on here do it. Different than just sprinkling on for some reason. something to do with dispersal through fats in the cheese maybe.

Don't feel bad. I never thought of it either. But I would have felt dumb for "liking" your post because then everyone would see how much of an idiot I am for having never thought of it.
And I liked pookie's rebuttal vid just because I thought it was funny.

     Am I overthinking this?

What's that say about ME? Lol. I "liked" it because I do it. Now, I look like an idiot (?)

Apologies, Ashen. I'm officially "unliking" your post for popularity/reputation reasons :mope:

I have traveled the seven seas.

And ventured to the four corners of the earth.
