"capsicum chinense - Bhut Jolokia (100 days)"

"grown near Tombstone, Arizona"

"Heat level: extreme scoville 1,000,000"

Sounds like regular old red Bhuts that were grown near Tombstone, AZ, so they decided to sell them as "Tombstone Ghosts" as a marketing gimmick.

If I saw that in the store, I’d probably buy it just from the marketing. If I had the money for it.

I grew ghost peppers for the first time last year, and maybe the last time.  My dogs would bark in the garden, the door to the shed would sometimes be open, and garden tools would seemingly disappear only to reappear in places different from where I remembered setting them.

Sounds like a regular old Bhut, other than the "fruity" flavor description. Never had a Ghost pepper that I would even remotely consider fruity.

Bought these at the local nursery.

The first thang I thought of was crappy frozen pizza.

But after a little reefer madness and some alcohol appreciation...

It tastes pretty got dang guud!

The Ghost.

I never liked it.

Tastes like kitty box to me.

Crappy name too.

Its a bhut.

Call it what it is.

I had red buts grow this year, still picking.  Not fruity IMHO, but hot, yes.  Look the same.

This plant came from the nursery labeled "ghost pepper" last year. I sprouted two seeds of it this year
