I'd call that pesto too, what the heck can you "dip" in it? If that's a dip I'd be adding yogurt or sour cream, and then some salty potato chips or wheat thins would play nicely me thinks.

Looks good to me. I'd call it a salsa verde. I actually hate traditional spinach dip so I'm glad there's no sour cream in there or cream cheese.

It's not even close to salsa verde. Unless you are talking literal translation of the words, and not the traditional recipe.

4 Cups of *Mayonnaise, 3 baby carrots and some crusted bread, and there you have it.

*substitute Mayonnaise with Sour Cream, or Greek Yogurt.

*Or any combination there-in equaling FOUR CUPS OF SOMETHING CREAMY.

I'm talking about the broader category, that includes Italian salsa verde and Argentinian chimichurri, not simply Mexican salsa verde. It's closest to a chimichurri except with different herbs.

Like I said pesto lol chimi is South American pesto. Why don't we just call it spincach dip since he did. Oops I mean DIPP lol.

The common factors in the sauces I was thinking of was fresh herbs and an acid. Pesto is in that broad family too but has no acid.

Yeah, Dipp sounds good :)
