I started moving the bigger plants out to the greenhouse today as they no longer fit in any of the shelving in my basement. Most of these are 18 inches to 2+ ft above the soil and all but the previously documented Reaper are in 1 gal. pots.

This is a pic of one of my Albanian Red Hots that was back in a corner in my basement behind some other plants and hardly got any light, but still managed to start pushing pods out. It went into the greenhouse now.

You have some monster plants! Are you gonna plant in the dirt?

Yea, they got big fast. These are mostly super hots that were planted beginning and middle of February and then under my t8 8000k lights and magical nutrients.
I no longer plant in the ground, it was just too much of a battle in the sand that I have, Now everything is in containers except my asparagus.

Started moving some of my Kratky plants from the basement grow room to one of the portable greenhouses outside. Pic of the next stage larger containers filled with magical nutrients.

BrainStrain in a 3 gal bucket, the bigger Kratky plants have been taking 1 to 2 quarts of nutrients per day now.

Pic of Red Moruga Scorpion, this is the result of the tale of the tiny seedling in post 6 early in my glog.

Butch T Yellow, this one ran pretty low on juice once and dropped leaves like crazy but looks like it will come back now.

And here they are in their new digs, I still have other plants waiting to flee from the basement grow room.

Hope to be able to put plants outside soon, even the Big House is getting crowded.

First ripe pod of this season. This is on my supposed Reaper plant. The saved seed was from one of my true to form Reaper pods from several years ago. My saved seed is all open pollenated and I dont remember what all I grew that year. Anyway, there are 10 or 12 pods on the plant and they all look similar. I guess I got a new chili for this years collection.

Biker Billy in Kratky headed to the PGH and an 18 gallon container. If he behaves and grows nice his next home will either be a 32 gal trash can or a 55 gallon drum!

Yeah, I hope it grows up to be big productive guy. Poppers for everyone might go a little thin after I eat my share first! Most of the plants look pretty good but a few always get neglected and get that limp leaf look!!

It looks like some young blue shieldbugs, along with some eggs. If it is a blue shieldbug, it's a good guy. It's a predator.

OK thanks, they will be allowed to live.

Watch them closely.  Here in Pennsylvania, we have brown marmomated stink bugs, in the same family and closely related, but WAY more destructive.  I swear they will eat anything, then sneak into your house to torment you over the winter.  They've made their way to Minnesota, too, I believe.

As a side note, this is what completely neglected pepper plants look like!!!

Your plants are huge , really good looking in the Kratky hydro , that will be next on my list of peppergrowing things to try.

What kind of nutrient are you using?

I am using a blend of Greenway Biotech Hydroponic Lettuce Fertilizer, General Hydroponics KoolBloom, Calcium Nitrate, Epsom Salts, and CalMag Plus. I have been messing with Kratky for about five years and have tried many different regimens of nutrients up to the current one. It may not be the best out there but it is the best for me that I have tried so far. All the different plants are doing well in the same mix.

It sure seems like a lot of the corporate packed seeds dont grow true. I have 5 Caribbean Red pepper plants growing from seed out of the same pack. All 5 are putting out different shape and color pods! One is even putting out competely different pods on the same plant!!!
One of my Caribbean Reds💥🙀

This one looked a little funny with a split in it like it wanted to explode!

I cut it open to reveal several new peppers.

This is the plant that pepper came from, mostly smallish kind of round pods, except for the one thats oblong and about 2 inches long.
