Tridents - Fifth Season Bonnets/Hybrids 2018

Snowdrops out and the early signs of daffodils are abundant here in the U.K. ... we are reminded that winter is all but done however looking at next weeks temperatures I am not so sure. I am late this season I normally sow between Christmas and New Year but last season I was too advanced and the Growtents were bulging before I could get the plants into the polytunnel.... my propagation is crammed full of all sorts of chilli seeds germinating away after their tea soak ... big year for me as I retire in June but really looking forward to this season as I have managed to secure more true Bonnets and a few new Bonnet Hybrids. A massive "thank you" to all that have helped me continue my Bonnet/Hybrids/Hot Chinense journey especially Simmy, Justin (WHP), Sandra Tipton (Foggia), D3, Bhuter, Chiliriot, Gentetikx, Jeanie Y, GIP, MikeUSMC

I see you've got MA Pixie in the works. I've got TFM bonnet x yellow pixie from jedisushi. Pretty tough to find anything about these pixie peppers, you know anything about them?
Simmy sent me a fresh pod last season... small yellow bonnet shaped pod with some nice heat so I saved the seeds. I believe it is another Matthew Arthur creation... have to admit I love the name. If you are successful with the TFM x Pixie and it's ok with jedisushi I would love to trade with you at the end of the season

Thanks all ..... forty two varieties only three "no shows" two are my own seed P. Dreadie and Trinidad SB x7pot and the other variety which is a great disappointment is some original Wayright Cappuccino SB from Sandra Tipton dated 2012 I thought it had a chance. Will give the Wayright seed another go and if successful it can spend the season in the growtent

Seem along time ago ...

Great progress here and you've got a lot of varieties I want to keep tabs on. Good to see obeah popped for you. Justin's version of scotch bonnet looks wicked, I probably should have picked some up.

Any particular reason for scotch brain f4, or is that just what you had available? Thought it was a few generations past f4 at this point

Ryan of the four obeah seeds I sowed which all germinated this was the strongest and is starting to get established so thanks again. ScotchBrain F4 came from Justin whether he had gone back to previous seed I am not sure but he posted me some pictures at the end of last season and their shape was A1. I love them as a variety and I keep growing them but never seem to do them justice.... fingers crossed we get a good summer

Man,  you have some really cool crosses!  Hope all continues well!
Thanks Ben ... I have to thank Sandra Tipton (Foggia) for the cool crosses especially Chris Fat Red x Jigsaw which is showing some great early colours in the leaves ... Purple Ghost Scorpion is I believe a Jeanie Yander creation which when cut in half has a red outer colour compared to a purple inner colour .... now that is cool

30 shifts left ... not that I am counting ... then I retire ... my working dog has been has been signed off as "old and worn out" which is about right for her age ... specialist search dogs have a working life of between 8-9 years so she is looking forward to the settee ...

Stellar looking plants John!

I'm looking forward to seeing their progress.

And much congrats on the retirement! So both of you get to retire at the same time? I'm sure it will be great not to care what day of the week it is.
Mine's not that close, but also not so far off, and, you can surely bet I'm counting the days. ;)
