You have used those led strips before? If that's what the sb7j are under it seems to be doing the trick. How big of an area do those light?

Using tall pots for chilis is actually a great idea and i have been using much bigger tall pots myself with great results. The more root growing area you can provide them in a moderation of course, the better the results!

Just stumbled on to your YouTube videos on led, good stuff! Have you tried any of the rgbw strips? I was thinking the spectrum would be good on those, I'm still researching lights though so IDK.

no i haven't tried rgbw, white already has all colors in it, no need to separate it into their own phosphors.
i'm going for high power, high efficiency, and cheap so spectrum/color is not something i can be too picky about.

specs on product pages, are not always accurate lol.

I never realized how diverse the led market was lol. I am gonna build something though, just not sure what, I'm leaning towards your setup

You should think them as led generations. The first ones where the multible 1w ones in the first generation, then second generation ones are the focusing lens using led grow lights and third generation are those various GOB led ones.

I thought you had posted a link to the driver you were using for your strips but I can't find it in any thread. I am gonna go with 3014 leds based on your YouTube video.

the adhesive backing doesn't work that well, you might need to get some silicone clips, zip ties, or staples.

after using the unbranded 12v power supplies a few times and having one start smoking i decided to go with reputable vendor as i don't want to burn my house down lol.

it depends on how many strips you are connecting to the power supply. meanwell LRS-12 series
the ones i have are LRS-12-350, are powering 4 strips
