End of January the 15 first kind got soaked 24h and then put to Scott towel and ziplock bag to germinate and then to dirt.
The rest of them got soaked 24h around mid February and put directly into dirt.
all this inside my "mini automated propagator/nursery" that i put up last years out of a non working cellar

dont be shy to comment or suggest

here is a photo of my OW Bhut-1 from last years taken this winter
i will take a recent one and post it

Is that little display part of one of those ardurino things? I wouldn't mind seeing more e of that diy LED light, I built one with LED strips

here is the detail of the different led lamp/fixture i built/put together so far

i built this one a few years ago with some 1w led chip of different colors (red ,blue , far red, royal blue and white) , a old laptop psu , a arduino , a screen , a rtc and some sensor . a home made power driver to dim the light trough PWM from arduino  all that to replace my aquarium light that was dead
it was a failure caus it was not bright enuf  but i used it to OW some spice during 2 winter and now my chili plant this winter helped by the the purple track that you see at the back made out of a little kit  10x 3w chinese full spectrum led and his driver glued on a aluminium extrusion salvaged from a vertical blind/curtain.
the white cob led in the front got installed 2 days ago just to push a little on the plant before spring (again they sold as daytime  running light (12v no driver required)

this little one was built last year for my first year of "hots" directly on a big heat sink salvaged from a huge power supply for my mini automated nursery/propagator
14 x3w f.sp. with power resistor
the silicon bump in the middle is a temp sensor

there is also this one that i built last years  for the grow room that got pimped this year whit 2 wings
this one is made out of 1 x30w cob full spectrum led and his driver, 6x 10w full sp.  and 2 x 10w cool white all drived with power resistor
and 4x 3w led drived with a small cc/cv regulator
this year i added 2 "wing" each with 3x 10w f.sp. on power resistor and 6x 3w drived with some mr16 driver  that are good for 3x 3w chip
this one is not dimable ,directly feed by a pc power supply controlled by a arduino along with some fan to move everything

i had to raise my light 2 time a lot of the plant got purple

sorry it was long before i reply caus i'm in a rush i'm building a grow room2 because i am lacking space
this time i'm testing those 50w cob full spectrum with included driver (god they produce heat ( they don't emit heat toward plant but really hard to cool down))
i have to reopen it to change some construction design to counter that

oh and i forgot here is the last photo of my BHUT-1 for those of you that are dying to see some OW plant that look almost sick lol
(its my fault i didn't re potted him and i want to wait for spring because he is going in a big 10 g pot and have no place to keep that inside)

thanks and have a nice day to all

Love the diy LEDs! Plants look great too.
Here is the light I put together out of led strips, yours are a lot more fancy.

It has cool white, warm white, and rgb+cw strips. The ww, cw, red, green, and blue are all on their own dimmers. I have been turning the green off lol. Idk that it helps anything

great.. i love the color control part,  large surface too
if you dont mind give some detail on it
cost , power drawn ,heat, result   (if you already have used it)
the only time i used some strip it was some 5050 white weatherproof strip but of really cheap quality and they didnt last

These are cheap 5050s no waterproof coating, it was slightly warm before I put the fans on the Peppers. Now I wouldn't say it's cool or anything but far from hot. When I tested the watts with my multimeter I came up with 77 watts. The plants under it seem to be doing about as good as the ones under my t5 and t8. I thought it would be brighter, and my initial figures on wattage were wrong, I thought the strips used a lot more power. My plants do probably get some indirect light from my other fixtures too so it's not the most controlled experiment.

thanks for the info, neat lamp btw

ps: i love those 360's psu (i got 2 project working on those)

I never had a problem with one in all my days off gaming, so I figured it would work. I have a few more too! I like the metal you used for yours, do you work somewhere that allows you to put those holes in the metal housing? I can't remember what those holes are called, I know they use them on hot rods.

for the hole i took a multi-bit ,a drill, some silicone spray and a lot of sweat
its to increase  the air flow around the lamp and in it too
clean setup BTW!  :onfire:

Ok, so yours is made out of thick aluminum then I see. Very nice lights.

tanks
and yes i took 3/16" aluminum sheet for base
and some 1" x 1"  square tubing 1/8" wall that i sliced lengthwise to do the frame
the top is made out of "die-bound" (a composite panel of abs core laminated with 2 thin sheet of aluminum mostly used in sign business)
the aluminum cost me 20$
and the led chip and driver/power resistor  cost me around 25$
not expensive but a lot of work
ps: i had to raise my lights again today still got some plant turning purple , other stubbed and full of side shoot and i didn't topped them yet

wow! almost 5 1/2 month that i didn't write in my glog
summer as been running fast here im building a new house on my land
started my greenhouses
heres a few photo from my setup

2018 won't be a great season although we had great warm weather  (maybe a little too hot)
but the main reason seems to be my soil that i mixed myself
i will work on that for next year
