Small white worms in the soil

Hey,
Wanted to consult regarding couple of chilli plants I have indoors.
They have seemed to manage to survive the winter (so far), but
1. Leaves look quite bad - dry and curly at the end and a bit of white sticky dots on other parts
2. Sometimes when i water them, i see lots of small white worms coming out of the soil.

Do leaves sound ok considering were in February now?
And are these worms something to worry about?

I have lots of chillies that havent used yet so probably about to do some serious prunning and a chilli jam.. not sure if there is any treatment i should do as well before the spring.

Thanks!
Oren

Hello and welcome from Hampshire.... choose one of the pods and save the seed. Bin the plant it's not worth saving if you have indeed you have mites and or an infestation of thrips. Good luck

Thanks guys for the warm welcome and advice

Looking at photos i think these indeed might be spider mite... attaching photo of web seen occasionally in few places and also what may look like small red dots that can fit mite?

So do you think the plant is al gone and not worth trying to heavy prune + using insecticidal soap?
Also was wondering if it means the existing chillies cannot be used? Even for a jam/sauce?
And how do you suggest preventing in the future? Would neem oil work?

One last question (sorry there were many of these here...) - can the small white moving worm-like things i used to see in the soil when watering be aphids / whiteflies?

Thanks!
