Ok so this is pretty much an update to an issue Ive been having and welcome any further advice. So this is my first time growing chillis or pretty much anything so apart from watching a lot of YouTube I dont have any experience.
Id started to notice that the leaves on my new seedlings were starting to point to the sky throughout the day creating a v shape when looked at sideways. They were being grown under a garland gro garden that pretty much consists of 2 t5 bulbs that can raise and lower as they grow. I had them under the light for 16hours and off for8. I was watering about once a day (when the top of the soil was dry to the touch).
What I was finding was that about 10-12 hours after the lights came on the leaves would be pointing upwards rather than flat and helicopter shaped. Over the last few days Ive tried lowering the lights as my original concern was the plants were stretching for the light but that never helped. Then yesterday I raised the lights more than I would prefer and suddenly they stopped making the v shape.
So my theory is that its either the heat coming from the bulbs (max and min thermometer showed it was reaching 33 Celsius) or (if its even possible) they were getting too much light. At least for now thats the logic Im working off as they have stoped closing up at the new height.
Has anyone else had this issue and can confirm what the issue was?
Thanks
