Sideshow Gardens Grow Log.

Here's where it all starts at Sideshow Gardens. The seedling room. Heat and humidity controlled. The trays will only spend a couple days here til they get moved outside. Our daytime temps have been wonderful lately but night time temps are still pretty low so they all get brought back inside at night. Quite the chore since the seedling room is upstairs and I currently have way more trays than what is pictured. I've started tomatoes and peppers so far but that accounts for only a quarter of what I'll be growing. Stay tuned for further updates. Thanks for looking!

I think you have to get those pink raddicio seeds from Europe still. I remember seeing them a couple weeks back when a guy on another forum recommended them to me.

I didn't dig in to them further though because lettuce wasn't on the menu this year.
Yea it looks like all the seeds come from Italy. There's a member in Italy that I've bought some pepper seeds from before. I messaged him to see if he can find any.

Found a red lettuce on seedsnow.com.

My scarlet kale is doing really well. Heres a baby pic and a pic from yesterday. I originally wanted to offer these for the business but the seedlings are totally green before they turn purple and I think it would be hard to sell when they look like regular ol' kale. Fun to watch them change color as they get older though. They seem to do really well in these small planters I have them in.

Strawberry spinach looks interesting, wonder what those berries or whatever they are taste like.

Kale looks great, it's probably too late for me to start greens

From what I've read, the berries are mildly sweet and not something to really eat on their own. Something to add to a fruit salad or other salad. I just think they're interesting because both the berries and the greens are edible. kinda cool.

I'm really enjoying this glog because I've always been interested in the oddball varieties like finger limes and miracle fruit. Everything looks like it's going well and growing well. Here's to hoping it continues to prosper.

Neat!!! Where are the chickens?
I put the dogs in the house and let the chickens run the yard while I was working on it. The hammering freaks them out.
