Hello from Belgium

I have started growing indoor peppers last year and have not been very succesfull, I have been using this forum for a lot of indirect advise, but I think I can get a lot more by participating !

I have been struggling with flowers dropping but all the other signs my plants give me seem to be good.

Welcome and judging from the flowering c. chinense picture, i would say perhaps too much nitrogen in the fertilizer.  What fertilizer are you giving to them?

For this plant I'm using canna coco a+b in minimal dosage, the plant is obviously growing in coco and is bottom fed, it is a fatali bonsai and has never offered fruit in its original shape, the leaves seem to be lacking some "meat" to them compared to my other plants (they are quite light and thin). I have given it some pk 13/14 from canna also for the first flowering, again in low amounts (guessing 400 to 500 ppm), I have had it in the grow tent with a 15 hour light cycle but I thought I would try it on the window to see if it isn't because of my led light source. Here other pictures, the flowers when they bloom don't seem too bad.

Canna coco a+b combined NPK:

4-4-3

Minimal dosage will not do at all and you need to start top feeding them.

If you have a way to measure the EC number, then combine those A+B and that pk to make the final solution EC 1.4-1.5

I did have the plant and others on around 1000 ppm for a long time and 1100 with pk 13/14 but never did much, had minimal fruit production and flowers dropping (although the fruits that stayed on were quite big). Thanks for the advice, I will measure in EC mode and see if it correaponds to what I was feeding them, then do some adjustments.

My top 2 part fertilizer for chili growing in coco coir i have tested so far have NPK value:

6-2-6

The one i am testing now have NPK value:

7-5-13

My new fertilizer have pretty much the right values i seek for the flowering/pod stage already without needing any further fine tuning.

Hi!  And,  :welcome: .  You made me  laugh when I saw the plants in the bathtub.  Looks like my toad (towed Jeep) and motor home bathtub heading home after spending the winter in Florida!

Haha, I was giving them a little fresh water trying to clean out my pebbles and coco coir, didn't seem to bother them.
