Hi all i would like to start growing (trying) some super hot chillies.
I live in york uk.
I was going to germinate them in my heated propogator then pot them and place them in a 600w 600d 1400h cupboard still in the heated prop base but with 3 x 35w cfls giving out nearly 10000 lumens (dont know if lumens make a difference).
12hrs light 12 hrs dark.
Is this setup good enough.

You'll need at least 3,000 lumens per square foot of grow space. !0,000 lumens sounds like a lot for 3 35w cfls too cuz I think they typically max out at around 70 lumens per watt.. I could be wrong though.. CFLs are good for seedling and small plants but you might want to consider an upgrade at some point if you're wanting to bring them to full maturity and actually get a good harvest off them. Anyways, welcome to the forum!
