I like it simply because it totally covers my grow table and you can turn off half the bulbs. It has 2 power switches but i dont know which bulbs it turns off. Plus it has more than double the lumens im getting now. I would actually prefer 3 2 bulb 4 footers so i can raise them separately but that cost way more than im willing to spend. Its easy and cheap enough to pickup one of the high output CFLs or 40watt+ LED E26 bulbs if i really need it for a taller plant or two. You can pick those up for as low as $20 for the bulb and a brooder fixture/reflector is cheap.

You have a preference for fluorescent over led? Just curious.. Have you checked online for those 2bulb 4'ers? I would think those wouldn't be too pricey as lot of em are all cheap China junk just varying prices! Reflector would be nice to revert that otherwise wasted light back on the plants..

Haven't gotten into LEDs yet but i am looking at the Bonlux 40watt E26 studio bulb for a brooder fixture. Its rated at over 3000 lumen and under $20 https://www.amazon.com/Bonlux-Daylight-Balanced-Spectrum-Photography/dp/B01EFK7XE6

One HydroFarm 4ft 2 bulb is almost $100. I can get the 6 bulb for around $150. The plain white versions are a little cheaper too. Aint no way im paying $300 for pepper lighting unless it was for profit.
