Sliced ketchup

So "sliced ketchup" popped up on my news feed today. Apparently it's the next big thing. No muss.. no fuss.. no mess.. no refrigeration.. it's sauceless sauce!

I'm thinking that sammich is gonna be awful dry with sauceless sauce.

The pic reminded me of that "squeeze bacon" meme.

I wonder how hard that would be to replicate. Could it be as simple as ketchup in the fruit roll tray of a dehydrator.

The concentrated taste is too raisin-y, like if anyone ever ate the dried pieces of ketchup from around the cap lol. Fresh is better, don't let this fad fool you.
Oddly specific description of something you have never eaten. ;)

I've eaten it on hipster burgers. It tates like a sun dried tomato but not as chewy.
