Help me identify pepper, please

Doesn't look like a pepper plant to me

Not a pepper. The stem looks fuzzy in the picture too like maybe a potato leaf tomato variety...? Do you have any seeds leftover by any chance that we can see?

Like I know this is so strange, soil was sterilized and i planted about 20 seeds i had like 12 sprouts and my cat destroyed all of them and this is only survivor, I have 2 3+year old reaper plants that are starting to grow now since temperature rised, this plant is not that important to me but it really is strange

It does look like something in the ground cherry family.

If it is a tomatillo though he will need 2 plants or more. As far as i know 1 tomatillo plant wont produce fruit.

Knowing what the seeds looked like would help. I'm not sure about tomatillo, but ground cherries have tiny little seeds compared to something like a pepper seed.
