I realized I hadn't really harvested anything besides the odd one while out with the plants so I grabbed the ripe ones. I've never grown them before (got this as a plant from Ace), but they go green - brown - red. Anyone know if this is normal?
I've grown Bonnie's Thai Hot Ornamental Pepper and agree they don't grow from green to red, see below - not sure I'd call it brown, but it's some color in that neighborhood!

Once they get to the size of a large lemon they are getting a bit too large. Pick them when about the size of a small lemon. They taste just like a mild cucumber.
Half gallon of burr gherkin chips. Bunch of fresh fernleaf dill, mustard seed and a CCN Sichuan pepper in the bottom. 1 quart 40% ACV brine, heaping tsb minced garlic and salt brought to a boil then poured in warm.

can tell the few that i didn't snap the scapes off didn't grow as large of heads

wife used pink ribbon as it was 'all she could find' to tie them up
they will get cleaned much more after they dry a bit, the paper skins on them fresh out of the ground tears easily
and now i have garlic i grew to go along with all the peppers i grow for some of my sauces

Today's harvest, such as it is: 4 Zapotec Jalapeños, 3 Hot Rod Serranos, 1 Bishop's Hat, and 1 Yella Fatalii.

MWCH MOA Reds off just 2 plants for the win!!! Both still have way more to go.
Mystery peppers and Ghosts.
Thats a lot of damn pods for this time of year in my climate and i didnt even touch the AJi Dulce or a few others yet.
Fresno and Aji Arnaucho are awesome too
A few more before i had to run inside and grab something else to haul them inside
