pics Harvest

Harvest today on counter, week's worth on dish.  Thinking another ferment this weekend, as my current one is approaching 90 days. I already have another similar haul in the fridge from last week, so may also do a freezer batch.

Both these love hot weather. Finally starting to get more than a few per day.

Liana Yard long bean...best variety ive tried yet. Pods stay thin and tender longer.

My burr gherkins didnt do squat till we had a month of good hot weather. Now my jala patch is covered in the volunteer vines.

And 2 Reapers (top) and 2 Dragons Breath (bottom). Didnt feel like picking more today. I got a bunch of bonnets, Naglahs and Scotch Brains i could have picked too.

I picked these while watering and dodging mosquitos this morning. There are many more ripe ones out there that I'll go after tomorrow.

There are quite a few rocotos not in this pic, because I'm saving those for the Pubescens thread.

Reaper, P. Dreadie Scotch Bonnet, Aji Limo red, Aji Limo yellow, and Shishito.

Had to get my seeds today from the nicest pods.

Naglah Brown, yeah its hot but it aint like them freak Scorpions. Flavor is pretty interesting too. Almost anuum like, far less floral/perfumy/fruity...almost too neutral. More like a spice/tobacco/earthy than a fruit.
CCN Reapers, Oh yeah very very hot and oily. Also nice flavor and a very long lasting burn.
CCN/PepperLover Dragons Breath, Very very hot, bitter and very oily. Burn equal to the Reapers and very similar how it burns.

CARDI Scorpions from Juanitos still look like the oil kings. I cut open six more today and they were all dripping wet inside. Puddles of oil all over made getting seeds out tedious. Burn seems at least equal to the Reapers but better flavor.

Slow week so far.  Many plants are rebooting for the next round, so here are some stragglers.  White flies are being annoying, so trying to waste them.  Sauced up my ferment from 120-days ago, HOT!  Habanero and Ghost.  Immediately processed the next one, to be ready for Christmas.
