Those are some farmer's market jala beauties.   Tasty morsels.

Yes they are. They are going to be even tastier after being smoked with apple woood, dehydrated, and turned into chipotle powder&flakes!

I'm also making merkén with the aji cacho de cabras.

Wonderful!  How many plants do you have to get a crop like that?  And what do you do with them all?

I have around 50 plants. The Jals get pickled or made into poppers. The green chiles get roasted and peeled and used in/on pretty much everything. Love a nice slab on a burger! The supers get powdered. Some I smoke first, some I don't...and some get made in to hot seasoning salt.

Liana long beans, Hot Wax, Papa Dreadie, Aji Oro, Joes Long Cayenne and Tekne Dolmasi. The Tekne Dolmasi had a blemish so i picked it before it was completely ripe. Pops wanted a green bell for some chilli anyway.

Got peppers on the dehydrator in my man cave, because we have guests.  Hopefully no leakage of vapors, but needs to happen.

That looks great! What blender is that and is it easy to clean?

I use an old coffee grinder, but it has to be fully disassembled to clean properly, so I hate doing it.

It's an old coffee grinder. The bowl comes off pretty easy and can be thrown in the dishwasher. Cheap by Mr Coffee.

So busy with work my garden has been neglected for a month or more.

Decided to rescue what I could this morning.

Sri Lanka (green pile)
Guindilla (large centered pods)
Hot yellow thai
Random tomatoes

Thanks, just ordered one for $14!

Mine is also Mr Coffee and looks similar to this:

As you can see the base/blade portion is not removable, as it is built in. Such a pain to clean.

Oops almost forgot...Tekne Dolmasi....Original seeds are from Pepperlover but plants this year are from my seeds. Outstanding sweet bell.

Toss a handful of cheap rice in the grinder. Blitz it into powder. Dump it and repeat. Wipe out the rest with a paper towel. Its a real quick way to clean them but only if you plan on using it just for powders. The grinder might still be a bit "hot" for using with other stuff.

Here's where we are today.  Habs, Bonnets, and bhuts moving along.  Red Scorpions (white twisty-tie together) starting to come in.  Lemmon drop expected ripe within two weeks.

What are the middle (peachy coloured) ones?  Is it a Sugar Rush Peach variant?

From 12 o'clock position then center 2 pods

Mini Red/Miraflores cross ( i think), Ultra Mini Reds, TFM Scotch Bonnets, Aji Arnaucho, Mucho Nacho and Hot Wax

Scotch Brain and a cool looking P Dreadie.

Another view with flash

Got a bunch of Bolsa de Dulce turning. Two more Aji Oro and they are large suckers. Three Tekne Dolmasi, Joes Long Cayenne and a couple Naglah Brown within a few days. The long cayenne is so loaded i had to tie it up today. Saving them for a big batch of fermented hot sauce.

ripening habanero variety, gets pale orange, then red.  The other yellower ones are ripening scotch bonnets.  I don't have any peachy or chocolate stuff.  Want to, but not yet.
