Paprika-jam

Hy all!

This is a very popular catch in Hungary, somewhat similar to the Serbian name Ajvar.

Ingredients:

- 2-3 red chili peppers

- about 2 to 2.5 kg of sweet red pepper (hungarian say:kápia)

- about (to taste) 15 to 30 dkg of brown sugar ...

- pinch of salt

-  apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar

- pectin or any gelling agent

Preparation:

After the washing and drying of the peppers, put them in a large baking pan and high heat (if there is a grill function, then we can help) to bake it until it is almost completely black. This is approx. 40-50 minutes. If we have a garden grill, that would be the best. : D

Then cover with a foil or folpack until it cools down. This way we can easily pull the outside black out of them. Remove the core and mix the remaining peppers with a mixer.

Cut chili pepper and mix with the ingredients

Let's put it on a slow heat and mix it with the other ingredients. When mixed, taste and add sugar or vinegar to taste. Everyone likes it differently, so I did not write exact quantities.

Keep stirring constantly, taking care. It does not take long to boil, because if the sugar is dissolved and it is boiled, we can go to the pre-washed jars and then go to dry-dry!

The finished jam will be very small, but the finer! We can use it for buttery toast, we can dip vegetables, but it is excellent for meat too!

Good appetite to it!
