chinense My wife is mad at me. Ghost peppers were involved.

The grocery store had some plastic boxes of fresh ghost pepper. I put on my gloves and chopped them to store in vinegar, so all I have to do to add them to food is grab a spoon. Then I washed the knife and cutting board. A couple days later, my wife was dicing tomatoes. They tasted suspiciously spicy, and she asked me if I did what she thought I did with her cutting board. I didn't even have to actually admit it. The look on my face was enough. I told her I thought I had washed the board well enough. Usually, I soak the board overnight.

At least you didn't forget about chopping peppers and give her some finger action a few hours later. THAT pisses 'em off! Lol

...aaahhh...if I had made this post, I'd be thinking I wish I hadn't and ask The Boss to delete it for me.  But that's just me.

Unless, of course it was an "Ambien Tweet" - then I should be forgiven for the crude judgement.

I thought this was going to be a much more intimate story. I've heard more than a few about a couple who got a little heated up after some kitchen work and got burned ;)

But I don't even know Bruce Springsteen.

The post is new enough to be edited to something more classy/pg-13, no ¨Boss¨ involvement included....

....of course, it will all be for naught unless you edit out the quote from your post, as well....

Anyways, I just wanted to add that I´m still growing from seeds you sent me; those were much appreciated!!!

Get a glass cutting board. You can actually get the heat out of those.

I usually dice my peppers on the plate I'll be using for dinner so my food can soak in the juices.
ditto glass or plastic stay away from the wood if you are married...................   :)

...and wood doesn't trash the edge on a quality blade.

I am really digging this Coke v Pepsi/ Mustang v Camaro discussion regarding cutting boards, but let's keep it on topic...

How bout Bhut Jolokia versus Naga Morich?? Or something along those lines...

You are more than welcome.  I have sent out, and received, so many seeds over the past five years.

If you see I have anything else you'd like, Rob, feel free to ask.

Sorry, off topic again!  :P

Here it was eggs.  Wife made herself breakfast and nearly died to take a single bite due to the spice that transferred.  She screamed but in the end it was OK cause I got an omelet out of it.  Weird part is it was the fry pan that transferred the heat.  She claims the thing is now forever my fry pan, but I honestly can not believe the spice could last that long on its surface.  Not after multiple washings.
