Couple questions

I’m growing in containers and in a couple city pickets planters I’m using foxfarms ocean forest and feeding kelp extract once a week I also put a hand full of worm castings in the hole before I put the plants in

1. Do I need to add more worm castings if so how often?

2. Can I mix the kelp extract up and put it in the city pickers planters water tank or am I better off just watering them with it?

Thanks for the input [emoji6]

I don't know what city pickets planters are, but I can answer your questions, anyway.

1) You can add a top dress of worm castings.  Maybe 1/2" - 1"  It doesn't need to be done often.  Maybe once or twice per season.

2) As a general rule, it's going to be better to water amendments from the top down, not bottom up.  Especially if you have a product that is meant to be used right away after mixing.

It’s one of those self watering planters thank you for the help much appreciated

I was kinda wondering about that.  If it's any help you you at all, I had a few dozen of my own DIY SIP type containers.  I always did a combination of top and bottom watering, in them.  Food from the top, straight water to the bottom.  Works really well.
