How long does it take Scotch Bonnet buds to bloom?

I have 12 Scotch Bonnet plants that all have numerous buds on them.  They have had buds on them for two weeks with only one bud flowering?  How long should it take for Scotch Bonnet flowers to bloom?  This is my first time growing hot perppers so I do not know what to expect.

Not all of them will stick even if there are no problems. If your plants are healthy then the best thing you can do is not try to care too much

I've had my best results letting the plants sort all the little shit out for themselves. I'm like their bodyguard; I'm there to kick the crap out of any caterpillars, aphids, and whiteflies, but I don't really get involved with my plants' personal lives. Often, the more I try to help, the more harm I do.

Bonnets are some pretty late producers. If you got buds already, cool. The pods will come.

Okay, thanks Andy!  When I first started growing them I thought that I could just put the seeds in a pot, forget about them, and pick peppers in a few months.  Now I am like an obsessive, overprotective, parent caring for these guys.  My wife thinks I have gone mad!

I'm in the same boat. I've tried to only intervene when it looks like they're at risk of dying.

You'll probably end up really loving this hobby, and if you've got the patience for Bonnets, you can tackle most anything that side of the Superhots (which tend to be even later than Bonnets... But some of my 7Pots are already well ahead of my Bonnets...). Next year, grow some Serranos; they pod up so fast, you'll feel like a Master Gardener in no time, LoL
