I'm looking for Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Blend seeds that are as close to the pure original as possible. Anyone have good results with those lately?

My guess is that the closest would come from Jim Duffy.  He is the one who provided the seed for the CPI testing that decided it was the hottest in the world.  Thing is, I am still a bit unclear on the many names as references contradict each other.

I don't think many people use the TSMB term much anymore.

Jim Duffy is the best source I know of.  I believe Duffy's original source was Chris Phillips, making them the real deal.

I grew em from Duffy in 2014 and they were true as could be.

Ok that's good to hear. Thank you AJ and Hogleg. And yes I do date myself with the TSMB term lol. I'll have to give Jim a call. I spoke with a local friend and pepper grower about the record breaking batch and he was under the impression that the genepool drifted a bit from the time it was grown til now. I also heard that it may have been switched with a Brain strain. Either way I'd like to grow the pepper that everyone bred their Superhots from. Anyone know any other sources? I always like using multiple sources.

I know the moruga scorpion is a brain strain thing was going around for a bit, but I think it was settled as not true.  For my own experience, moruga scorpion seems larger and less uniform in size.  Some folk claim it is native to moruga in Trinidad but other references claim it was first propagated by Wahid Ogeer.  I looked up Mr. Ogeer a time ago and fell in love with his story.  So I think my heart makes me go with him as the creator.
