Yes but fresh pods are the best and a lot of us like eating them whole rather than nibbling.

Not the point I was attempting to make. If you want less heat with the same flavor, use less pepper. You don't have to eat the whole thing. That's where powder rules.

Lemondrop powder, for example, tastes very different to fresh Lemondrop. Both are good but I would not use one as substitute for the other.

Fresh vs dried being the best is only a personal opinion.

I operate under the assumption that everyone understands subjectivity and would get that I'm simply stating mine.

It's as if people think that if they don't throw in something along the lines of "That's just your opinion.", then the opposing views may somehow move into the realm of fact and invalidate theirs.

I am well aware. I just didn't have any superhot examples coming to mind.

There are habaneros and many different varieties of them that may be what you are looking for then. Chinense flavor without the intense heat.

I love eating habaneros other than orange. Their flavors aren't the same as other peppers, chinense or not.

Welcome fellow Mobilian! I don't have an extensive collection of the super hots, but it's good to see another pepper-head in town!
