I was just wondering how common it is. I was also curious if it was a phenotype or variation that could possibly be grown out to produce plants that grow only double pods.Edmick said:Not sure if I've ever seen it with a charapita per se but it is somewhat common with other varieties so I don't see why it wouldn't be just as common with the charapitas. I don't think it's anything to be worried about though if that's what you're concerned with.

Both pods have good looking seed. I'm sure you are right but my curiosity is telling me to separately save these seed and to grow them out and see what happens lol.solid7 said:
Does the pod actually contain any viable seed?
It's doubtful that you're going to reproduce it. It's more like a siamese twin. More of an anomaly, than a genetic condition.

Not sure. My first year growing them. I've only ever had the reds.Ghaleon said:How do the whites compare to the peaches and yellows flavor-wise?
P3PP3RDaDDy said:Has anyone seen anything like this before? It's 2 separate pods from 1 flower. Maybe it was 2 flowers on 1 stem idk. I don't know why the pic keeps coming up sideways if anyone knows anything about that too...
Yeah, I got seed for that too. I'd be growing it if I could keep up with things that aren't attached to my body. The grower definitely seemed to get them fairly consistently.Edmick said:I'm growing some white bhuts this year that came from a plant that threw tons of siamese pods that were also producing a crazy amount of fruit per node. Like solid7 said though, more of an anomaly than genetic but I figured I would try anyways to see if I got lucky.
