Aji Mango

Never was really in love with the Aji type peppers.  But I am growing out about a dozen varieties to give a try.  Tried my first Mango today without doing any research on it.

Very slight fruity aroma, I was expecting more.  The big shock was Scorpion level heat.  Pretty much all tongue burn.  At the end it got to my lips.

After looking up pod pics, these aren't typical shaped mango pods.  Not sure if the seeds I got were crosses or perhaps wrong seeds.

First thing i thought also. Looks like it has some chinense in there. I would try to grow that out again next year. Pay attention to the flowers and to see what traits remain. Scorpion level heat just seems a bit much for it?

My Aji Mango are the short round Aji shape. Very sweet, with heat in the small placenta and seeds.
