Help identifying this caterpillar (or at least I think it’s a caterpillar)

Found this guy gnawing on this pepper I picked this morning. No idea what it is.

I did have a tomato hornworm infestation a month or so ago that I eliminated using BT. Damage stopped showing up, and I havent seen any new damage since.

This was first time Ive seen something like this and first damage Ive seen on the plants since I did a couple of BT spraying.

My plan was to treat with BT again as it looks like some sort of caterpillar and Id like to get it under co trolbedore damage spreads. I have a crap ton of peppers developing and coming in and dont want pests to spoil it at this point.

Closest thing I found on google was cabbage worm. But I didnt see anywhere that they infested peppers - more leafy green type plants. Any ideas what it is and is BT good move?

Howdy,
Looks like a pepper worm, like the beet armyworm, it is another pest that can damage your plants. This worm is about one-third the size of the pepper caterpillar. He can be green or black and is a larva. He will damage the buds and young leaves on the plants.

Thanks for info!! Im assuming BT is good option here?

Anything to attract their predators to help control in addition to spraying stuff?

I personally wouldn't spend too much time trying to figure that one out, unless you happen to have a butterfly garden.  There is no such thing as a beneficial caterpillar in a pepper garden, and the BT treatment is the same for all of them...

Sounds good. Gave them a good spray tonight. Saw some leaves with tiny holes in them had shown up. Hopefully thisll take them out.

Still would like to try to figure out what they are. Mostly for sake of curiosity.
