I'm a new hobbyist looking to expand my knowledge about growing hot peppers. As I am rather new to this, and growing in general, I'm really looking forward to watching this new passion flourish into something I can enjoy for both myself and my family.

Welcome I moved away from So Cal 2 years ago. You're in a really good area to grow peppers. I never knew how well I had it out there with my garden until I moved to Northern Arizona. Now I actually have to work at it. You'll love it here at THP. Lots of knowledge in these forums.

@SL3 - That seems to be the recurring theme I see on the web, SoCal being great for growing in general. I've been contemplating starting some seedlings (indoors) sooner rather than later because of this.
