Hello from New York!

Hi, everyone! I'm a longtime participant on food discussion boards like Chowhound (though no longer), eGullet, Hungry Onion (where this site was recommended) and Food Talk Central and an even longer-time food enthusiast. I lived in Malaysia from 1975-77 and learned that, as the Malays say, "Tak ada cili, tak ada rasa", which means "If there's no chili, there's no taste." In all honesty, I don't eat spicy food all the time, but I sure like it, whether it's Sichuan-style, Thai, Mexican, Indian, whatever, as long as it's delicious! I'm also launching a company soon that's very likely to feature the finest hot sauces my partner and I can find, and I'll tell you more about that in the appropriate forum when the time comes. Meanwhile, I look forward to learning from you and participating in discussions of hot sauce!
