Many times the first few pods are off phenotype. If pods continue to be ghost like the odd ball is "normal" for the plant.

Many times the first few pods are off phenotype. If pods continue to be ghost like the odd ball is "normal" for the plant.
Thank you for the speedy reply. I am very fascinated by the diversity of pods on a single plant (shape, color, flavor, and heat) It makes sense though, evolution is a beautiful process to observe.

My favorite pic showing diversity in pod shape on a single plant below. It's a Scotch Bonnet which typically look like the red circled ones but you'll note the ones circled in black are somewhat bonnet shaped while the white circled ones have no waist bulge at all.
