A couple who work next to my wifes office grow peppers. They brought over some produce that was extra. They told her these were very hot. I cut the tips as you can see off of two of them. They are not hot at all. In fact they are more like a red bell pepper then a hot pepper. Any help appreciated.
My wife brought these home from work, what are they?

Numex 6-4. If the one on the left is actually brown, a NuMex Eclipse. If it is just transitioning from green to red, probably the same as the other two.
i can`t say what they are for sure so i won`t guess. one thing i will say is just tasting the tip(end) of the pod doesn`t always reveal the heat of the pepper. the tip can be quite mild compared to the rest of it.
