Lets see some fruits!!

I looked for a fruit photo thread and didn't see one so here we go. Post pics of your locally grown fruits. I'd like to see pics from everywhere, especially exotic fruits from around the world.

I walked around and snapped a few pics of the fruit trees today.
Japanese Plum/Loquat is in full bloom, it should be a great year.

I call this the Charlie Brown orange tree, it's about 7" tall but puts on so much fruit the branches sag.

Kumquats starting to change color

This has been a good year for Persimmons

The other orange tree is lagging behind.

This was a small round Kumquat tree I planted 2 years ago but the freeze last year killed it or I thought. I think this is the root stock growing and it's making fruit. You can see a Kumquat to the left of the flower hiding behind the leaves. I'll have to do a taste test to check the flavor, if it taste bad then I'll graft a blood orange branch on it.

I know that guy. Have you been there? His orchard in the front is awesome when everything starts producing. I'm working on filling the yard up with trees now but it's a pain to mow.

He also sells fruit trees, fruit juice and I think jelly too.

The original owner was Mr. Young and it was his home/office/property. I believe his son-in-law took over the business once Mr. Young passed away. I am trying to find his/the businesses new phone number as I am trying to buy blueberry bushes from him. He said end of September he would have them. Every time i go by (5 miles from my house) he isn’t open. It isn’t his permanent job. So it isn’t open like it was when ran by the original owner.

FYI. He's in Lafayette but you can get some from Marcus, he has some nice plants that will produce next year. He also has a self check out and you pay online and grab what you want.

Continuing to hold off still on blueberry plants due to expected rain fall.

Wife has gotten into a lemon craze as of late. Said she wants to grow some lemon trees next year. Think we will get 6 for the back yard since it is nearly an acre back there. Those won’t happen until next year after the last hard frost.

I picked the last of the unripe persimmons, it was a great year for everything this year. It must've been a real winter we had last year. Real is relative to La.

I started a gallon of persimmon wine and it's good for just being on day 7, I racked it the first time today so it should clear up with some time sitting. I think I'll make a 5 gallon bucket with these and freeze some for later.
