Smoking deal

I had to run to the market today and on the way home i noticed the oldest garden shop around was going out of business. Everything is 60% off and they will be discounting further on Friday. Might have to get some Smart Pots from them if they get low enough.

I think i did pretty well for the 2 bags with tax

They had very little fertilizer left. Hippies already nailed them :D I was hoping for some Dyna-Gro 9-3-6. They had the Neptune's crab shell and their Fish/Seaweed liquid too. I didnt know if the crab shell had chitosan so i didnt get any.

I would have spent my life savings on those bag nutes!

With USD to CDN conversion rates the way they have been past few years it prolly amounts to my life savings as of late.

I live for the smoking deal...when it comes to buying things for myself I really wont bite till its on sale or even an off season clearance deal UNLESS it can not wait and I really need it badly.

A couple weeks ago I scored 10xs 28L bags of Pro mix potting soil for $2cdn ( 1.50ish USD) each which are normally around $7-8cdn a piece around here, and another 10xs 75L bags of peat moss for 1.50cdn from a local grocery store. My wife was not impressed with me shoving them  into every crack I could find in the car since we already had done a bunch of shopping that morning and at the time we had our Chevy cobalt which is not a very roomie vehicle.

I commend you sir for jumping at the smoking deal /golf clap

The hippies have not discovered my secret stash of affordable nutrients at the "Farm and Feed" shops. Alfalfa meal and even some liquid kelp is still cheap there. Its insane what the hydro shops around here charge thanks to the hippies. :D

This garden shop was kinda high on lots of stuff. Their Fox Farm pricing is pretty good though. Its the main "fancy" nutrients they offered. Menards had the best price on Pro-Mix but they only carry the All-Purpose which need more perlite added. I hate messing with perlite and its cost so i add pine fines instead to mimic Pro-Mix BRK which is crazy high around here. Last year i found a great source locally for composted pine bark fines.
