How cold is too cold?

Might have waited too long before bringing my plants indoors to winterize... The temperatures have been below 40 for about a week. The plants have slightly changed color to dark green but are still bright green inside the stem. Is it worth the effort to bring in 4 or 5 of the plants?
 
High 30s stress the plants, but should not cause any permanent harm. Bring them in before you get a hard freeze!
