UV-A radiation

I got my 1W LED packs, more then I expected in a pack 50-100 led's.
One of them is UV ( 315–400nm) that I got since I read it can reduce pests, so Im putting some together today to experiment. Some confilting things Ive read.

Would be awesome to see the effects of UV radiation on pepper plants, espacially to see if the fruit can get sunburnt

I would think it would cause mutations in the plant, might be interesting to grow out the future seed.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but UV radiation is everywhere all the time. It's produced by the sun. UV-A and UV-B radiation get through the atmosphere, but UV-C can't penetrate the ozone layer. It's UV-C radiation that's most destructive to DNA. UV-A and UV-B also to a degree, but not nearly enough to cause any significant amount of mutations.

Well I could put together 40 UV-a lol, its very bright.
This is a combo of full spectrum, royal blue and UV.
