Once your light is right (the sun) the plants know what to do. Pruning won't do anything once all plants are made equal under the sun. I dare you to try that experiment with a couple of these if you want.

Don't get me wrong, pruning has its place for indoor growers needing to stall stretch, save light penetration space, etc, but once outdoors...all bets are off. I've done every pruning experiment you can think of. Low stress training, sog, topping bla bla - The plants know exactly what to do and how to grow in their natural fractal habit.
No amount of pruning will ever get this many grow sites:

Go to pruning this and you just stall it from doing what it needs to do anyway. As a grower we just make sure the soil is right, the light and water is right and step out of the way. Pruning is a novelty to pass the time indoors.

Besides, these are programmed to respond horribly to pruning. In fact, I'm updating your algorithm as we speak. Please ensure you're near wifi for the next few hours.

Makes sense and youd know better than I with these. So looks like I have an experiment ahead, only one was topped (larger) so now I wont top the smaller one. Ill have to see if it does what the other outdoor peppers did which was go all top heavy or theyll get all bushy like yours. Only time will tell I suppose, in hurricane capital of the world I cant afford top heavy. The games are in full swing :flamethrower:
Ill be moving them outdoors in about a week or so after the danger of frost has passed 😆😆🤣🤣 frost yeah right
Put down the pot and pick up the pod

I'm glad I didn't listen to all the great advice in this thread on which plant to choose, as the one everybody recommended kicked the can (surprise, surprise!). Love how truly helpful everybody wants to be here! :) :) :)

My other one is doing well though, so keeping my hopes up:

Well, I'm a little behind some of you, but I got 3 players in the game.

Well I guess this is gonna be my winner. The others are similar in size but this one seems to be the best. We shall see.

I built a little website to track exactly this kind of thing.

And then just didn't use it.

Sorry, I have nothing useful to add.

Got the seeds! I was going to soak them.,,but my greenhouse advisor lady told me not to. So uh, theyre in the greenhouse taking a nice nap in soil. Heating pad is going in for it tomorrow or Thursday probably. Im hype and cautiously optimistic :)

I wonder why she said that? There is so much

research and just plain experiential knowledge

that says soaking the seeds shortens germination

time. Are you sure she is not in the Growdown

contest?

Anyway, good luck with your seeds!

No ones saying you should question her, were just saying to soak them then sow them dont ask dont tell.
Judging by your post you sound scared of her, she doesnt beat you does she? Should we alert the police?
