I am starting an indoor grow experiment so I might as well start the new years glog at the same time. Today I threw 3 seeds in the dirt(hoping for 66% germination). I will keep 1 in dirt and 1 in Kratky. These will stay in my grow room under my 8000K T8 shoplights from the beginning through fruit.

Yeah, definitely interested in the solutions/nutrients. There's a good-sized basil plant in my office growing in a bottle of water; I'd love to move a pepper plant over to this kind of setup to bring in and match it.

This is available at most all farm supply stores and in my opinion the least expensive way to fertilize my container and in ground plants. Around me it usually sells for $20 to $30 per 50 pound bag. I use about a bag of each per year. Some people may not like granular fertilizer, thats fine. I grew up on a farm and it worked for growing crops then and it works for me now. Just choose the right one for the application. Also, you can blend them and have just about any NPK ratio you desire. They have many premixed choices at the farm stores.
I also occasionally use the liquid kelp and fish emulsion, but as always it depends on current conditions.
Thanks for sharing! Being pretty new to hydro, I, for one, was envious of your hydro garden last season. Since I've given up on the community gardens, all my growing will be container, dirt or hydro, inside an enclosure that will, hopefully, keep the deer, grounhogs, squirrels, birds & chipmunks out.

One is a Greenway solution(Masterblend is pretty similar, it just costs more). I will say that the poorer growing of the two is in the EXPERIMENTAL solution that is doing poorly at the present time.internationalfish said:

Week 2 update on the three Monzano Orange Rocotos. #1 is doing super good in its solution, #2 is doing OK in its modified soil, #3 is at deaths door in its solution. It may be too far gone but I will change solution on #3 to something different and see what happens.

Three more Rocotos standing at attention waiting for their assignments. Yep, they each get to put their feet in something different. These are Rocoto Guatamala Orange.
One going into my favorite Kratky mix.
The other two will go into a potting mix, each will have different nutrient regimens. They are all three almost identical at this time. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts.
Update on these in 7 days.

Nice SB! I haven't grown either PI355812 or the Hualaga orange. Both were supposed to be in this season's grow, but won't happen after all. Instead, I'm going to kick my feet up and watch how they go for you. Enjoying all you have going on and continued good luck with the rocotos!

Update on the two(previously 3) Rocoto Monzano Orange plants. The pre-Kratky in the glass is noticably zipping away from the potted one with experimental feeding(although, that one is starting to look better).
The one in the glass will be placed in a 10 inch net pot in a three gallon bucket by the weekend.
