SKULLBIKERS 2019 Container and Kratky GLOG

I am starting an indoor grow experiment so I might as well start the new years glog at the same time. Today I threw 3 seeds in the dirt(hoping for 66% germination). I will keep 1 in dirt and 1 in Kratky. These will stay in my grow room under my 8000K T8 shoplights from the beginning through fruit.

And now for the continuing saga of a pepper plant named Ernest......................Ernest Borg 9 to those in the know. I thought I would remove his tin-foil hat and let him experience more of the world. See how far he has come along since germinating about Feb. 13.

Ernest in his new(used) nicely recycled Bonnie plant container:

It's gotta be the Dew....... :P

Naw.....you've just figured it out and are a great pepper farmer!

I better do an update pretty soon. Been really busy, flew down southerly for a week and looked at some properties. Might be moving this summer so my grow will get no larger than it is, at least until something is final one way or another. Anyhow, the supposed slow growing rocotos have taken over my grow/starter room in the basement. I was going to move everything to the greenhouse this last monday and then the weather people started yiping BLIZZARD, BLIZZARD, BLIZZARD, so maybe this weekend.
These rocotos (2 in KRATKY, and 2 in pots) were up to the ceiling(floor) and are now bending over to the middle of the room.

Full update when I move everything.

Moving south, eh. [emoji106]
Kinda sad [emoji20], cause you showed the world what a “damn yankee” could grow [emoji16].
Happy for you cause you won’t have to deal with these miserable winters [emoji16].
Hopefully you can keep your grow up in the miserable heat [emoji2957]JK ( don’t want to tork off our southern brothers and sisters)

Might be time to show one southerner in particular how its done. But, have to keep in mind its not a done deal till its done! If it happens it will be a change doing the switcheroo from zone 3 to 9B, but would be really interesting growing year around without doing it in the house.

9B is way south, huh?

Wow, looks promising! Is that 'low' temperature at night? Are you running any heaters or having insulation?

Party time is edging closer and closer! :)

Unfortunately, the nighttime lows are only about 3f above ambient temp without heaters. Now it should just about be a wash with electricity for lights inside versus electricity for heat in the greenhouse.
