SKULLBIKERS 2019 Container and Kratky GLOG

I am starting an indoor grow experiment so I might as well start the new years glog at the same time. Today I threw 3 seeds in the dirt(hoping for 66% germination). I will keep 1 in dirt and 1 in Kratky. These will stay in my grow room under my 8000K T8 shoplights from the beginning through fruit.

Not much heat on the Rocoto Rio Haullago and the Rocoto Montufars are between a good Jalapeno and Serrano. Both have good flavor but when I dice up the Haullago I get the smell o a bell pepper.

sounds like a good pepper for daily use.    let me know if you have any extra seeds. id like to give them a try.

I found some mazano at the local flea market and liked them. hoping I can grow some of them from the seeds I saved.

Daily peppers(low to mid-range heat) are the direction I am going these days. Only one superhot variety this year and may not get anything off them because of my move. I should have extra seeds later on as I have already started saving and drying them.

Aaaaahhhhhhh, gotta love these crisp mornings in Minnesnowta in late(almost summer)spring. Heaters were removed from the greenhouse two weeks ago. Here is the temperature in there this morning.

WTF!!!

Uh oh! Did you lose anything? Fortunately, peppers, and everything else, for that matter, grow really fast in Florida.
Have not gone out to look at them yet but really have never lost anything that did not actually have frost on them. My plants instinctively know that tough love is better than no love! I plan to cut back any that I move(space issues moving), so any in Florida will start from stumps or seed.

All of the plants are really being ignored at this time. Packing for the move, trying to get rid of excess junk. I am not sure if the plants know that some of them will get whacked or given away. The ones I decide to keep will be cut back like over-winters.
A couple of thirsty plants at noon yesterday.

Same plants after a drink at about 3:00 pm.

My small harvest from yesterday: Top=Rocoto Montufar, center left=Rocoto Rio Haullago, center right=Rocoto Guatamala Orange(one is off a Kratky plant), Bottom is two different phenos of the Sri Lanka Chili Reds from growdown plants.

Tis the beginning of some sad days as I begin giving away many of my plants. My next door neighbor that helped me move some of my big stuff(a.k.a. junk cars) is getting six of my plants.

The first is Ernest Borg 9s little brother. In a 30 gal. trash can pot.

Next are two off-pheno Sri Lanka Chili Red plants in a 100 gal stock tank planter.

And to round it out, two Rocoto Guatamala Orange and a Rocoto Rio Haullago in a 120 gal stock tank planter.

So there we go spreading the pepper plant love!

Hey Skullbiker, any ideas aboot what type of gardening you’re going to be able to do at your new abode? Like inground, raised beds, container, big assed containers, kratky?
Praying for safe travels for ya [emoji16].
Most likely containers as the sand there looks as worthless as the sand here. And, likely Kratky(possibly big assed).[emoji15]
It may require more than prayers with all the loons on the road these days!
